Former Director of the Kerala State Forensic Science Laboratory, Dr. Muralikrishna obtained his M.Sc. from BITS Pilani in 1966. He was awarded Doctorate Degree in Biochemistry by the Gujarat University in 1970 and in Parapsychology by the Glasgow University in 1993. He has undergone advanced training in DNA profiling, molecular biology and forensic serology from the Royal College, Glasgow, U.K. He has guided research projects of I.C.A.R and authored 25 research papers published in Indian and foreign scientific journals. He is also the Editor of the Journal of Indian Academy of Forensic Sciences.
