He had his M.A. in Political Science and LL.M. from the Kerala University. He specialised in Constitutional Law and International Law. He had started his practice in both civil and criminal courts from 1984 and also practised at the High Court of Kerala. Sri. Sudheesh Kumar is actively involved in the legal literacy movement and is the Coordinator of the NUALS Legal Aid Clinic.
