The National University of Advanced Legal Studies is emerging as a unique Centre of Excellence in Legal Education. Since its inception, it has taken great strides to win the recognition that it has today amongst the legal fraternity and the society at large. Today, NUALS has a full-fledged integrated five year B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Course, a one year LL.M. Programme presently in International Trade Law and in Constitutional and Administrative Law, a Ph.D. Programme and PG Diploma Courses in Medical Law & Ethics and Cyber Law. There are 16 Centres of Learning focusing on research and training in its respective areas including a Centre for Post- Graduate Legal Studies.

The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, was established as a Statutory University by Act 27 of 2005 by the Kerala Legislature.  Conceived as a centre of excellence in legal education in Kerala, NUALS, since its inception, has made steady progress and emerged as one of the leading Centres of Legal Education in the Country.  Apart from the infrastructure which is only a contributing factor in the path of progress, the efforts of a group of committed and dedicated team of members of the Governing Bodies, the Vice-Chancellor, the faculty, students and administrative staff is playing a great role in taking the pride of NUALS to transform it to a preferred global destination for legal studies in the days to come.
