The standard and quality of any educational institution mainly depends upon the facilities and services provided in the Library.It is considered as the heart and soul of an institution imparting quality education. The Law School Library has been an integral part of academic endeavour in Law School. The curriculum and teaching methods of Law School require both intensive and extensive use of the materials in the library. The Library is being constantly enriched by the acquisition of latest books and journals keeping in pace with changing times. With in the short period of three years the university has setup a good Library. We have also received large number of books from the personal collections of Justice V.R. Krishna Iyer and Senior Advocate T.P.Kelu Nambiar. The Bar Council of Kerala has also made significant contributions to the Library. Books on Medical Jurisprudence, Law Science and Medicine have been specially purchased as some of them are the thrust areas taken up by this University.
The Library has subscribed to the electronic database of Supreme Court Cases and All India Reporter (Supreme Court). We have also the back volumes of All India Reporter, Supreme Court Cases, Criminal Law Journal, AIR Manual, Complete Digest of Supreme Court Cases, Harvard Law Review, Law Quarterly Review, Britannica Encyclopedia etc. The Library is subscribing leading national and international journals ranging from American Journal of International Law, The All England Law Reports, The All India Reporter, Criminal Law Journal, Supreme Court Cases, Journal of Indian Law Institute, Indian Journal of International Law, Current Central Legislation, Current Indian Statutes, Consumer Protection Judgments, Intellectual Property Rights, Cyber Law, Indian Law Reports, Indian Bar Review, University News, Annual Survey of Indian Law, Kerala Law Times etc..The Library is kept open on all working days. The new Library with ultra modern facility is under construction and would be soon functional. |
